Through advances in science and technology, industrialized countries have created for themselves a world of unprecedeted wealth. And yet, in our prosperity, we are currently faced with the depletion of natural resources, the destruction of our environment and serious North-South problems that link in the shadows of the cycle of mass production, mass consumptions and mass desposal.
